The branch participated in the VI Food Microbiology Congress, Microbial 2000 in Buenos Aires, where it sponsored the event and invited a speaker that made two presentations: The Food Microbiology at the Beginning of the New Millennium, and Present State and International Activities on Tourism, Trips and Food Innocuousness.
